The Tomorrow People is a sci-fi adventure that aired on ITV.
The series is about a group of teenagers who are the next stage of human evolution—Homo superior. These Tomorrow People look just like ordinary people, but they have superior telepathic and telekinetic powers. They are able to talk to each other with their minds, travel long distances just by thinking themselves there. The TPs live in a disused part of the London Underground which they call The Lab, here they have an extra ally in TIM, a biotronic (half machine, half organic) computer. They travel by a method called jaunting, thinking themselves from one place to another, although for enormous distances, into space for example, they have to be guided by TIM via jaunting belts. TPs go through a stage in their teenage years called "Breaking out", this means they are soon to become a TP.
The Tomorrow People finished in 1979 but was revived some years later. The revival series was also titled The Tomorrow People. An American version of the series debuted on The CW in 2013.
