The TV IV:Proposals/DVDs
I had a few scattered thoughts involving DVDs, and while they are not directly related to each other, I figured I would put them under one heading. If you think that is not right, feel free to cut this up as you feel is necessary.
- Should we link episodes and seasons to DVDs they appear on? Like on a Season One page, link to The Complete First Season and on an episode page link to The Complete First Season and The Best Of.
- What if we put all of the Category:Show/DVD in to the Category:DVD instead of each individual DVD? I think it would be easier to navigate then.
- How should we handle exclusive bonus discs? For example, when Beavis and Butt-Head: The Mike Judge Collection, Volume 3 , an exclusive disc was released at both Target and Best Buy. On that page, I just put an Exclusive Bonus Discs heading and put the discs' info down there, does that seem OK?
- In the DVD template, should we have a Type or something like that? My idea is it would say Type: Season Set or Complete Series or Episode Collection, something like that.

DVD Regions
What exactly is the purpose of us listing region codes on DVDs? Is it to show what region, geographically, it's from, or is it just to show what the actual region code is on the DVD? The reason I ask is I just found out a DVD that was released in UK that I made a page for was actually all region as opposed to region 2. So, if the point of listing the region is to show which geographical location it's from, should we change that to what country? -Joltman 13:35, 11 August 2008 (EDT)
