From The TV IV

The Proud Family is an animated sitcom series about an African-American family put in different situations that a teenager or adult would likely face in every day life. The series was originally pitched to Nickelodeon, but the network passed and the series was ultimately picked up by Disney Channel. After three seasons and a TV movie released in 2005, the series ended.
