Trivia
The Show
- The episode has a distinct place in UFOlogy. In 1961, married couple Betty and Barney Hill claimed to have been abducted by extraterrestrials, the first widely publicised report. Betty went under hypnotic sessions just 12 days after this episode aired and her description of an alien, the template for the grey aliens described in subsequent stories and depicted throughout science fiction, was found to be very similar to the one featured in the episode and is believed to be what she was recalling. Betty, however, denied ever seeing the episode.
