Trivia
The Show
- This episode lacks the main title sequence seen in subsequent episodes. Instead, the title appears before the main cast is listed over the first act. Stephen Snedden's name is also absent, due to the character not having been introduced yet.
Behind the Scenes
- This episode drew a lot of attention a few months later when many noted the similarity in the terrorist plot of flying a plane into the World Trade Center and the 9/11 attacks. Spotnitz believed that, if such a scenario had ever occurred to him, he had imagined that the Defense Department obviously had also thought about such catastrophes the writers had imagined and put preventive systems in place. When the attacks happened, Spotnitz feared they had unintentionally inspired it. While he soon learned this not to be the case, he nevertheless had difficulty rewatching the episode until he had to for an interview for the series DVD.
