The King Kong Show (titled on-air simply as King Kong) is an animated action/adventure anime series that aired on ABC. It was the first network Saturday morning show whose animation was farmed out to Japan.

The legendary Kong befriends a little boy, Bobby Bond, whose family consists of his scientist father, Professor Bond, and his teenage older sister Susan. Together, Bobby and Kong fend off ne'er-do-wells, most notably evil scientist Dr. Who (a character not related to the British sci-fi series).

The show's middle feature was Tom of T.H.U.M.B., a secret agent reduced to thumb-size after being hit by a ray. His assistant is Swingin' Jack. The character design for the segment was by MAD magazine artist Paul Coker Jr.

The King Kong Show was later adapted by Japanese movie studio Toho Company for a 1967 feature film, King Kong Escapes (known in Japan as King Kong's Counterattack), which was distributed in North America by Universal Studios in 1968.

Videocraft International and Toei Animation co-produced the series. DreamWorks Classics, which owns the pre-1974 Rankin/Bass Productions catalogue (including that of predecessor Videocraft), distributes the show.
