The Funny Company was an educational animated series airing in syndication. It was one of two shows created in response to FCC chairman Newton R. Minow's comment that television had become a "vast wasteland" (the other show being CBS's Tennessee Tuxedo and His Tales).

The Funny Company was a group of kids organizing their own chapter of Junior Achievement (sponsors of the show along with Mattel), where they take on odd jobs and by live-action film demonstrate how things are made and how they work. Buzzer Bell is the president; assisting him are inventor Jasper Park, secretary Polly Plum, treasurer Merry Twitter, prehistoric creature Terry Dactyl, computer Weisenheimer, sweet and shy member Shrinkin' Violette (so-called because when she gets very shy, she shrinks), and Indian mascots Broken Feather and voiceless Super Chief (who only sounds a loud train horn). Plotting against the Funny Company is vampire-esque villain Belly Laguna.
