The Fixer is a morally ambiguous crime drama. Ex-soldier John Mercer killed his aunt and uncle because they had abused his sister. Five years into his life sentence, Mercer is released from prison and recruited as a hitman for the state—to reach people the law can't reach. He is supported by small-time crook Calum and former undercover police officer Rose.
