The First 48 is a documentary series about the real life world of crime investigation. Instead of glorifying it, The First 48 lets the viewers see the difficulty of investigation and the dedication required on the part of the investigators. The show's name derives from the belief that the first 48 hours are the most important in criminal investigation.
