The Fantastic Four (1967–68) is an animated superhero action program. It was the first series based on the Marvel Comics team The Fantastic Four. It aired on ABC alongside another animated series based on a Marvel superhero, Spider-Man.
Many of the show's scripts were derived from the storylines of specific Fantastic Four comics and included appearances by the Silver Surfer, Galactus, The Watcher, and the group's arch-nemesis Dr. Doom. The show has been since ostracized by FF purists for its austere character designs and stilted animation.
