Erskine goes undercover at the Chicago firm to get close to several potential employees who are suspected of the thievery. Meanwhile, the husband, who's trying to garner more heroin, is encouraged by his supplier, who works for the Syndicate, to get more stolen stocks, but the supplier's boss, a Syndicate leader, decides that the couple is a liability and orders them killed.
