• After missing the first 18 episodes of the season, Bo and Luke Duke return to Hazzard County. After joining Coy and Vance for a few scenes in the first act, the "replacement Dukes" (as some fans referred to them) leave the farm to care for a sick relative, and are never seen or referred to for the remainder of the series.

• Prior to filming this episode, series stars John Schneider and Tom Wopat reach a settlement with the show's producers over merchandise royalties. Schneider and Wopat had missed 18 episodes of the 1982-1983 season. Ratings improve following the "return of Bo and Luke," but never to the levels they had during the series' 1979-1982 heyday.
