Plot Overview
The episode sees Bo and Luke get mixed up in a small-time counterfeiting operation run by their friend, "Granny Annie" Coggins, with things becoming more serious when Boss Hogg has Granny Annie arrested and seizes the plates ... only for Boss to then sell them to a big-time counterfeiter, the short-tempered "Big" Jim Downey. As Boss is closing a $25,000 deal for the plates with Downey, the Duke boys escape the Hazzard County Jail and steal the plates back, planning to dispose of them in Hazzard Lake, only for unintended consequences to result when Downey, believing Boss to have swindled him, has him kidnapped and plans a brutal death for him.
