Basic Information
Pruneface was characterized by his purple, wrinkled face. He is usually paired up with Itchy. His voice was an approximation of Boris Karloff.
Character History
In the comic strip, Pruneface (real name not given) was a Nazi saboteur. His wrinkled face was the result of a skin defect. He was in charge of producing a nerve gas, whose manufacturer he tried to use against for letting Tracy and the police get too close. Later in life, Pruneface was put in a cryogenic sleep and reawakened in 1983. He died as a result from a fall from a ski resort gondola.
Trivia
In the 1943 Daffy Duck cartoon "Porky Pig's Feat," Daffy smushes his face into the hotel manager's face then quips "Hey, look! A Dick Tracy character...Pruneface!"
