Basic Information
Mumbles was a villain who was usually paired up with Stooge Viller. Mumbles' voice, by Jerry Hausner was electronically distorted to make his speech unintelligible, translated by the only person who knew what he was saying, Stooge.
Character History
Mumbles was a deadly villain in the original Dick Tracy comic strip. His real name was never disclosed and usually met up with other villains, never aligning himself with any particular criminal. After a brief stint with the Black Hearts organization, Mumbles took it on the run and left the others to be apprehended by police. He is still believed to be at large.
