Basic Information
Based loosely on Occidental detectives such as Charlie Chan and Mr. Moto, Joe Jitsu is one of Tracy's aces. He uses shrewd deduction to figure out the culrpits, their modus operandi, and he barely strains a sinew when applying his martial arts skills on the criminals when needed. Series producer Henry Saperstein said Joe Jitsu was created as a good guy to soothe any remaining ill will against Japan from World War II.

Joe teamed up with two other officers--Hemlock Homes in "Rocket 'N' Roll" (Joe actually came to Hemlock's rescue; he and the Retouchables were captured by Stooge and Mumbles and were about to be launched to the moon) and Go-Go Gomez in "Tacos Tangle."
