The Daughters of Joshua Cabe

Jump to: navigation, search

The Daughters of Joshua Cabe (1972-1976) is a trilogy of movies of the week that aired on ABC. The premise of this series of western comedies was that a crusty fur trapper hires three women to pose as his daughters, so that he may keep his land under new homesteading laws. Although intended as a pilot, the initial film The Daughters of Joshua Cabe, while successful, never quite took off that well, and with the declining returns of the sequels, producer Aaron Spelling opted not to pursue the trilogy any further. The first two films aired under the ABC Movie of the Week banner, but the third aired nearly a year after that banner closed.
