When a NEMESIS scientist is found in a Haiti hotel apparently having been frightened to death, Sharron is sent to investigate. The Hotel is the location for a gathering of top scientists and politicians who seem to become entranced when they see a magician called Dambala, who is more than he first seems to be, as Sharron is to discover, he is also into voodoo and witchcraft, and is trying to use this against NEMESIS.
