Plot Overview
A middle-aged executive who lost his job and has been unable to find another is on trial for criminal damaging charges after destroying the offices of a company that performs background checks on potential hires for companies. Walt, Brian and Neil attempt to prove that the company's report on their client, which contained information on his character that was severely blown out of proportion, destroyed not only his career, but his marriage and, quite possibly, his sanity.

The Show
John S. Ragin is credited here as John Ragin.
A postscript at the end of the episode tells us that a law was enacted a few months before this episode aired, which says that any company doing a background check must provide all the information they have on the subject, to give that person the chance to confirm or deny any or all of the allegations in the report.
Real-life husband and wife Darren McGavin and Kathie Browne play husband and wife in this episode. They have appeared together many times on television, but this is probably one of the few times they have played a married couple.
