Plot Overview
A gang of car thieves steals a Rolls-Royce parked near a lake, not realizing that the car's owner placed the body of his murdered wife in the trunk, intending to dispose of it. The car's owner reports the car stolen and his wife 'kidnapped', but the police Lieutenant in charge of the case is suspicious when the man describes the thieves to them...the mastermind of the gang is a well-known car thief with 'ethics', who's incapable of committing a violent crime. The car becomes bandied about between the killer and the thieves, while the Lieutenant keeps tabs on the 'grieving' husband.
