The $100,000 Pyramid (2016)
The $100,000 Pyramid is the tenth edition of the game show that started as the The $10,000 Pyramid in 1973. Unlike the original series (1985-88, 1991-92) which has been screened on GSN with a "TV-G" rating, this series is branded with a "TV-14" rating. It also airs in limited runs during the summer when regular shows are on their summer hiatuses.
Gameplay is identical to the previous editions except in the first game there is no "7-11" bonus. The "Mystery 7" bonus is retained in the second game. Payoffs in the Winner's Circle are (in ascending order) are $1000, $1500, $2000, $3000, $4000 and $5000. Contestants vie for $50,000 in the first game; if the same contestant wins two games, he/she goes for a total of $100,000.
Regular games ending in a tie are not played off. The winner is determined from which team reached the tie score in the quickest time.
