Plot Overview

Ruby and Lurlene get tea and cookies ready for old man Butler and are surprised when a young man shows up at the door. As the shower water runs George thanks Maggie for making breakfast and also tells her that she shouldn't smoke. Judith shows up at work to talk to Grant since he didn't come home last night. Grant and Judith argue and he accuses her of only caring about the money. Then he asks her when she is going to stop lying to him. Vicky and Reena talk about how she misses Hunt since he is on a retreat and Reena tells Vicky she saw Grant and told him that Judith came to Houston because she was broke. Reena feels that Grant will stay with Judith anyway because she isn't as strong a woman as she is. Ruby and Lurlene meet Dan Butler and learn that the older man Ruby talked to on the phone is Dan's granddaddy. Ruby calls Brette while she and Mark are going over some business and invites Brette to dinner at the Top of the World Club to meet a doll named Dan. Mark is bothered that Ruby didn't ask to speak to him and tells Brette that he and Ruby are not seeing each other anymore. Then Brette tells him of a doll named Dan Ruby wants her to meet and Mark calls Martha Jane McIntyre and invites her to dinner at the Top of the World Club. As Vicky, Reena, Billy Joe and Christine meet, George enters and overhears Reena asking Christine to look into a case Grant Wheeler was on in Boston. Then George tells them he needs time off because a member of his family is staying with him right now. Then Billy Joe asks if he can talk to one person about what it is like to go through divorce on his show but Vicky says no. Mark asks Judith what happened between her and Grant and she tells him she was broke when she came to Houston and Grant found out from Reena. Vicky meets with Monsignor Shawn McHendrick and tells him that she is the woman Father James Weston told him about. The Monsignor tells Vicky there is nothing she can do about Hunt's problem it is his decision. Mark talks to Grant about Judith's money problems and defends her actions to Grant. Mark tells Grant they have no secrets between them now so it is time he decides if he can be her husband and if not then get out of her life. Vicky tells Reena of her meeting with the Monsignor and the advice he gave her is just to follow her own heart because the decision is Hunt's. But Vicky doesn't know what is right. Billy Joe tells Lurlene and Ruby that he is going to talk about divorce on his show tomorrow. Then Ruby makes plans for her night with Dan Butler. Grant calls the house looking for Judith but she isn't home and can't stop thinking about what Mark said to him. Judith knocks on George's door but he doesn't answer.
