Plot Overview

Ashley arrives at T.J.'s office and they get ready for the board meeting. Mark and Grant choose a new production head. Justin tells Brian he has new information on the divorce case. Brian tells Justin the detective he hired told him that Ashley is pregnant but he has no proof that T.J. is the father. Justin tells Brian he hasn't been with Ashley in that way for months. T.J. and Ashley talk about a weekend they once spent together and realize it was when Gregory was conceived. T.J. assures Ashley the birth certificate is safe in his safe. Then T.J. tells Ashley he bought that beach house. Then Ginny arrives. Grant tells Mark he needs to work on his attitude at work and on his priorities but that he is proud of him. Mark tells Grant he never felt that way and always felt he preferred Ryan to him. Joel gives Grant the first payment on the loan. Then he tells Grant he may not stay at KVIK but will continue to make the payments no matter what. Billy Joe tries calling Nita at an office in New York but can't reach her. Then Billy Joe tries to run through the script while taking care of Billy Joe Jr. Billy Joe Jr. screams as Billy Joe tries to rehearse for his show and then he yells at a stage worker. Judith tells Grant that Mark seems very happy. Then Grant gets a call about Ryan and tells Judith that Ryan's plane crashed and he is gone. Grant tells Judith that Ryan is missing and presumed dead. Then Judith talks about Ryan as a boy and cries. Then they leave to tell Ginny. Joel tells Vicky he isn't cut out for a desk job so he is going to look for another job. T.J. and Ashley leave for the meeting and Ginny wishes them luck. Justin chats with board members and then Ashley and T.J. Justin tells Ashley he doesn't want T.J. to be here but eventually gives in. While Billy Joe is telling a story on his show he slips up and gets rattled until he is finally helped out by Rikki who sings. At the board meeting Arthur Bates nominates Ashley to chairman of the board of Marshall Oil. Then the motion is seconded and Justin has a fit but Ashley is voted in. Justin then asks to speak to Ashley in private. Grant and Judith see Ginny and tell her that Ryan's plane crashed but they haven't found the wreckage yet. As they try to calm Ginny down she asks them to find Ryan. T.J. leaves and then Ashley tells Justin she had no choice but to do what she did. As Justin leaves he tells her if he lives to be 100 years old he will never forgive her.
