Plot Overview

Mavis tells Lurlene and Ruby what a great time she has had. Reena tells Grant she isn't sure she wants to keep working at World Oil. Mark and Brette tell Judith they are going to Mavis' farewell party and Brette also tells Judith the only reason she had the party for Mavis was to get Grant back. Judith tells Mark and Brette that she loves Grant and is going to get him back. Grant urges Reena not to quit but she says it is too painful working there. Then George arrives. Vicky tells Hunt about Striker's visit and gives him the deed to the Starlight. Brette and Rikki join the others at the Coop and Ruby announces that Rikki is going to Nashville tomorrow. Then Mavis and Lurlene talk about Joel and Elena asks to speak to Ruby. Vivien tells John about the conversation Brette and Mark had with Judith. Elena tells Ruby they need to get along and then Elena reminds Ruby that she is the one who turned Joe in. Elena also tells Ruby that Mark isn't ready for a commitment yet and the harder she pushes the more he will back away. Mark tells Ruby she has to change her ways. Ruby tells Billy Joe he can't take time off from his show just because he misses Nita. Lurlene tells Mark what a wonderful person Ruby is. George gets Grant and Reena to praise each other and takes pictures of them together. Hawker and Boots arrive to say good-bye to Mavis. Then Lurlene tells Joel that she and Mavis were talking about him. Mark tells Brette he loves both of his parents and isn't taking sides. Ruby tells Rikki that Hawker and Boots are backing his record and she tells the boys that she and Rikki are going to Nashville tomorrow. Hunt isn't happy to have the lease for the Starlight because he tells Vicky she has done enough for him already. Brette privately wishes Rikki well and he wonders what will happen to them if the record takes off. John arrives to take Mavis to the airport and Ruby asks her if she can call her Aunt Mavis. Then Mavis leaves after saying their good-byes. Ruby asks Mark if he likes and loves her and he says yes. Grant tells Judith he is late because of an interview with George and Reena. Reena tells Vicky she can't keep working with Grant at World Oil. Grant tells Judith how George arranged the interview with him and Reena.
