Plot Overview

Mildred visits Reena and says she needs to talk to her about T.J. Grant tells Judith his lawyer will have the divorce settlement in a few days and then asks her if she has started looking for an apartment yet. Mark and Ruby head out after going over plans with Lurlene and Joel. Judith tells Grant that Brette didn't come home last night. Mildred tells Reena that Burton is investigating a man named Hannibal for Marshall Oil. Ruby and Rikki see Vicky and tell her they would like to talk to her about Rikki's show when Billy Joe gets back. Judith asks Brette if she is sure Rikki is right for her. Hunt shows Vicky the plans to enlarge his club. Joel talks to Lurlene about learning to read brail. Then Grant stops by to see Joel and offers him a job at World Oil. John tells Vivien they need to take up jogging to help her relieve tension. Brette is visited by an old college chum, George St. John, a photo journalist, who says he is in town to do an article on Houston Society. Brette offers to call Vicky and have him meet her. Ruby visits the storeowner and offers to sell the Fire Compass for $100,000. She also tells the man not to say anything to her friends about her visit. Joel tells Lurlene he is worried about the others and his plan. 2 men discuss Ruby's visit and they think she is pulling a double-cross on her friends. Then Mark, Brette and Rikki enter and offer to sell theory original Myna statue and say they will be back tomorrow for an answer. Hunt leaves when George St. John arrives and meets Vicky. Vivien and John get back from their first run and then Judith finds them and asks what is going on. Striker learns he can sign the papers for the building right away. Striker tells Reena that Hunt is bad for Vicky but Reena advises him to leave Vicky alone. Vicky tells George that the ballet might be a good place for him to meet Houston Society. Reena tells Grant about Striker's visit and Grant tells her that Brette spent the night with Rikki. Hannibal gets a call from the 2 men telling him that Ruby is double-crossing her friends. The man calls Ruby and tells her that they are interested in doing business.
