Plot Overview
Justin tells Ashley he has his lawyer working on Gregory's adoption. Grant asks Reena to dinner and Judith overhears and gets mad. Gretchen pulls a gun on Brette and takes the Fire Compass. Mark tells Gretchen about the Great Fire Compass. Bailey tells Hannibal that someone saw him so he couldn't get rid of Joel. Grant tells Judith he needs to be with Reena. Grant tells John about Joel was found at the Nueces River junction. Justin tells Ashley they need Gregory's birth certificate. Lurlene tells Grant that the man who rented them their apartment tried to suffocate Joel. Hannibal tells Bailey he will get the oil reserve at Hitopah. Grant tells Lurlene he would like to go with her back to the hospital. Gretchen tosses Brette aside and takes the Great Compass. Justin tells Gregory that they are going to adopt him. John tells Vivien and Judith what they know of Hitopah's location. Then Judith asks to speak to Vivien. Joel tells Grant and Lurlene that Gretchen shot him. Ashley tells Gregory she will be his real mother when they adopt him. Grant tells Reena that someone tried to murder Joel and that Gretchen shot him. Brette grabs the Great Compass from Gretchen and then the smoke comes out on Gretchen. Lurlene introduces herself to Joel and tries to keep him calm. Judith reads Vivien the riot act and lays the law down about how things will be done. Reena tries to talk Grant into getting the police involved but he doesn't want to do it. As the gas gets Gretchen the place begins to shake and the gang leaves.
