Plot Overview
Brette calls looking for Rikki. Rikki tells Vicky he needs to miss rehearsal. Lurlene can't locate Ruby. Gretchen talks to a gagged Ruby. Vicky tells Rikki it is okay if he misses today's rehearsal. Justin tells Ashley that Hawker and Boots are launching Rikki in a political career. Burton talks to T.J. about why he left World Oil. Burton and T.J. argue about Ashley. Brette tells Rikki she thinks the ranch hand stole the Fire Compass and is the mummy that was found. Ruby tells Gretchen she doesn't have the missing piece to the Fire Compass. Burton has words with Ashley. Mildred visits Vicky and they disagree about Paige. Ruby suggests to Gretchen that Beau may be in Nashville and then Gretchen gags Ruby and says she is going to the apartment to look for the missing piece. Vicky tells Mildred that Paige is a very good person. T.J. and Ashley each talk about their chats with Burton. Brette tells Rikki that Miles must be on his way to Hitopah and if she finds the Fire Compass she wants to take it out to him. Ashley tells T.J. she is afraid Burton will hurt her by telling Justin about what happened long ago. Vicky tells Justin that Rikki is going to be on the Billy Joe show for awhile. Lurlene realizes the wooden puzzle is missing and then right after she leaves the apartment she sees Gretchen enter it. Justin comments about T.J.'s dad visiting her. Rikki and Brette talk Jake, the sheriff, into letting them see the body if it hasn't been buried already. Gretchen tears apart the apartment. Gretchen leaves the apartment and then Lurlene enters and finds it all messed up. A gagged Ruby struggles to get free.
