Plot Overview
In the car, Billy Joe tells Nita that he is taking her somewhere before dinner. Vivien and John head out for a night out together. Ginny is surprised to see Ryan is home. Ryan meets Miles and then after Miles leaves Ryan asks Ginny what's wrong? Hawker and Boots meet with Mr. Hannibal who tells them that he has business in Houston. Billy Joe parks the car and as he is about to propose, a police officer interrupts. Ginny tells Ryan everything is fine. Kate tells Miles he isn't welcome here and should leave. Mr. Hannibal lets it be known that he is interested in Hawker and Boots getting him a good candidate for the open seat in the state senate. Billy Joe gives the officer a tough time and so he arrests them. Mark introduces Brette to Hawker and Boots. In court, Billy Joe proposes to Nita and she accepts. Hawker and Boots decide that Rikki might be a good political candidate. Ryan thanks Kate for dinner and then he and Ginny head upstairs. Hawker and Boots ask Rikki to meet them tomorrow at the Spindle Top. Then Rikki meets Mark and tells him and Brette that Hawker and Boots want to talk to him. Ryan and Ginny enjoy quiet time in bed. Rikki chats with Brette and Mark a bit. Billy Joe explains to the judge that he was proposing to his wife and so the judge lets him off with a $50 fine. However, neither Billy Joe nor Nita have $50 on them. John and Vivien grow closer after their first concert and wrestling date. Billy Joe calls Lurlene and asks her to come and bail him out. As Rikki sings, Billy Joe puts the ring on Nita's finger; Ginny lies awake as Ryan sleeps and Miles looks at the sketch of Ginny. Lurlene arrives at court with the money and then Billy Joe asks the Judge to marry him and Nita.
