Plot Overview

Vivien, Iris and Grant arrive home from the funeral home. Rikki tells Maggie that Elena seems sympathetic toward Joe. Joe waits with Edgar the cat in the barn for Elena to show up. Max brings Kate the mail and there is a letter from Dawn. Striker and Vicky arrive at Iris' and then they talk about Alex's will with Grant and Iris tells them all that Alex might still be alive if it weren't for Ryan. Maggie tells Rikki that she is sure Joe will be caught soon and the whole thing will be over. Kate, Max and Reena talk about how Justin has changed and about Ginny and Steve. Striker tells Vivien that Alex's ashes will be put in an urn in the mausoleum. Then Grant asks Striker about Iris' accusation against Ryan. Jeb tells Kate and Reena and Max that Elena told the police that Joe wasn't a bad person and Max gets upset. Joe talks to the cat about planning his and Elena's next move. Iris and Vicky talk about Alex and then Justin and Ashley arrive at Iris' and she is pleased his well came in. Reena and Kate are visited by Lurlene who asks Reena if she could help her pick out clothes and do her hair in Houston sometime. Jeb tells Max he is gonna ask Lurlene out to see if he can get any info. Iris tells Justin that Ryan won't close the production division down and again blames him for Alex's second stroke. Vicky and Striker discuss Dennis' hearing and the oil rig problem. Jeb asks Lurlene out on a date. Iris tells Grant the story of how she first met Alex. Lurlene leaves when Rikki arrives and Rikki questions Jeb about taking Lurlene out when Elena likes him so much but he tells Rikki that Elena and he are just friends and that she has changed since being let go by Joe. Kate reads Dawn's letter and learns that she has sold her share of the ranch to Justin and gone to Paris. Ashley tells Justin that he can hear for himself how Alex felt about having Dennis for a son. Max asks Rikki to find out if Bubba had any other runs with the law besides the stock manipulation charge. Reena offers to loan Kate the money to buy Paige's share of the ranch if Paige decides to sell. Justin listens to the tape and decides that Alex wanted Dennis to take over World Oil and keeps the tape.
