Plot Overview

Paige calls Pete and makes plans with him for dinner and then Elliot arrives to tell her that he saw Dennis and he asked about her. Ginny tells Reena that she is going to ask Barrett for a divorce. Barrett tells Kate that Ryan is not going to get away with destroying his marriage. Ashley listens to the recorded conversation between Bubba and Justin and wonders why Justin is nervous. Paige tells Elliot she may not have a future with Dennis and tells him also of Iris' latest ploy. Kate tries to get through to Barrett but all he talks about is the unwritten law and then once Kate leaves he puts a gun in his briefcase. Ashley tries to figure out Justin's plan. Reena and Ginny discuss how she will tell Barrett about the divorce and they talk about Steve. Barrett tells Max he is going to go see Ginny today. Ryan finds the taped conversation and knows Justin doesn't trust Bubba either. Paige tells Elliot she may not have another chance with Dennis but he tells her not to give up on her dream. Max tells Barrett if he is going into town to call Ginny first but then Max leaves and Barrett doesn't call. Ashley finds Ryan with the tape recorder. Max tells Kate that Barrett went into town to see Ginny but when Kate calls to make sure Ginny knows the line is busy. Barrett arrives and Ginny tells him she wants a divorce and then he asks to see Steve. Paige arrives at Pete's and asks about Joe Foster. Max and Kate talk about Reena and children and then he tells her that he is going to build Reena the house she wants now and not later. Barrett tries to talk Steve into coming back to the ranch but he says he is going to stay with his Mom and then a sad Barrett picks up his briefcase and leaves. Paige tells Pete that Joe is wanted by the police for kidnapping Elena and for killing Bernie Stokes and then Pete tells Paige there is every chance that Joe killed Chris. Max tells Reena about Barrett's visit to Ginny. Elliot stops by and asks Ginny how Barrett was and she says not good. Barrett arrives at Ryan's office and pulls a gun on him.
