Plot Overview

Billy Joe tells Elena they are going to see a booking agent. Iris calls Reena and asks her to come to dinner tonight, so Reena tells Max and he says he isn't going. Reena and Max disagree. Billy Joe and Elena arrive and booking agent's office and the secretary tells them they can wait if they like but he won't see them without an appointment. Reena tells Iris that she can't come to dinner. Billy Joe tries to get Elena in to see Mr. Schwartz with no luck. Reena tells Iris about her problems with Max and Iris suggests Reena have a party for Max. Reena tells Striker of the plan to throw Max a surprise birthday party and invite people like Buddy and Wanda Coleman. Mr. Schwartz tells Billy Joe to send him a demo tape of Elena singing. Striker and Reena tell Vicky of their plan. Elena and Billy Joe argue about what happened. Reena calls Iris and tells her that the party for Max is to be a surprise and then Max comes home. Billy Joe tells Bobbie Sue about the demo tape he needs and a guy named Jeeter tells Billy Joe that L&R Studios can make the tape. Dennis and Paige arrive for dinner with Iris and Alex. Jeeter tells Billy Joe all about the demo tape he needs. Paige is surprised to learn that Alex was on the phone with Jim Lawrence. Billy Joe gets mad at Elena for singing Jeb's song but Jeeter likes it and After dinner Alex and Dennis leave Iris and Paige alone. Billy Joe introduces Elena to Jeeter Jones. Paige tells Iris if she interferes she will make sure she loses Dennis forever.
