Temptation: The All-New Sale of the Century was the fifth version of the game show that began in 1969 as simply Sale of the Century.

Three contestants, each staked to 20 Temptation dollars, ring in to answer as many pop culture questions as possible in 30 seconds in the Speedround. Each correct answer is worth $5; incorrect answers deduct $5. The high scorer was tempted with Instant Bargains, much like in the previous versions. The Fame Game followed.

Round two had the players in Knock-Off, trying to uncover nine correct answers on a board of twelve subjects. Money prizes ranged from $2 to $15. An Instant Bargain and a Speedround follows. An Instant Cash worth up to $5000 is offered to the leader provided he/she give up the lead. third Speedround follows.

The winner goes on to the final game, Super Knock-Off (picking out six correct answers out of twelve). The Shopper's Paradise follows. Here, a showcase of five sets of valuable prizes are presented with its retail value and its "sale" price. The contestant can buy what he/she wants and retire once he/she has enough money won or can continue and rack up more money for more valuable prizes. Five shows automatically retires the contestant.

Before each commercial break, home viewers are entreated to buy specific products at discounted prices at the show's website.
