Simplifying

I was thinking about how this could be simplified. As you can see at User:Joltman/Test, all but one variable can be eliminated. Instead of putting a season number, just take use {{SUBPAGENAME]}} and instead of putting the show in, just use the rel2abs thing. At that point, the only variable that would be required would be if it needs a different sort. This also gives the added benefit of The Daily Show/2008 Saying '2008 is the current season' rather than just 'This is the current season'. Any objections? -Joltman 07:55, 21 October 2008 (EDT)

Actually I already made the showname optional and the season number has to be a number. The reason it's there is to improve the ranking for searches for say "Heroes season 3" which is the more common way of searching for seasons. It also helps ensure that an informative bit is included in the search engine blurb increasing clicks. --The-jam 11:02, 21 October 2008 (EDT)
