Season officially over?

At what point do we consider the current season to have ended for these shows? Do we need official word from the networks? -Joltman 09:23, 2 January 2008 (EST)

Anyone? I just saw that Universal is officially relasing a Friday Night Lights season two set with the 15 of the ordered 22 episodes. Are we ready to say that all of the seasons are over yet? -Joltman 12:37, 1 February 2008 (EST)
Well, I don't know, but I'm inclined to consider the current season over and edit the show and season pages accordingly. Presumably, at this point, even if the strike ended right now, only a few shows would go back into production, and that's something we would hear loud and clear. By contrast, I don't think there'll be any press releases that such-and-such show's season is definitely over. (I take a similar approach with non-US shows, which I consider finished after a season unless there's been an explicit announcement that they have been renewed.) —Naddy 13:21, 1 February 2008 (EST)
I think we should wait a few more weeks as it is looking likely that the strike will end this month and then we'll have a better idea of what shows are going to produce more episodes and which ones aren't. I think some of the networks NBC in particular are planning to run some shows well into the summer. That Friday Day Night Lights DVD release might actually be indicating that they plan on rushing more episodes out for May since they're pushing the DVD out at the end of April. There's no indication it will be "The Complete Second Season" just a second season set. --The-jam 13:55, 1 February 2008 (EST)
