Talk:Spooks

From The TV IV
Jump to: navigation, search

When I set this article up I added the air dates in English format, e.g. "12th of May", as opposed to "May 12". I realise that the rest of the articles on TV IV employ the American English format and I will change them at some point, unless someone else does it for me. For the moment I have changed the dates on the front page back to the "12th of May" format I originally put them in. Although "12th May" is just as valid within English grammar (the 'of' is just an option I prefer) it doesn't match the rest of the episodes on the season pages (which are still as I entered them), or the American English format employed in other articles. - MadEyeTed 13:59, 13 Sep 2005 (EDT)

I think it's best to use a universal date format like the one used on the footer of all the pages here. i.e. 13 Sep 2005 --CygnusTM 14:15, 13 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Well, I wrote something in response... then read your profile. ;) "13 Sep 2005" it is. Maybe something could go in the style guide (unless I missed it and it's already there) because I think everything I've seen is using "September 13, 2005". - MadEyeTed 15:32, 13 Sep 2005 (EDT)

I think the standard format seems to be Month DD, YYYY rather than DD Month YYYY --Fezz(Ryvius) 16:12, 13 Sep 2005 (EDT)

That format does seem to be prevalent. I think dd mmm yyyy is best though. Time for another proposal. --CygnusTM 14:23, 14 Sep 2005 (EDT)

That certainly seems to be the prevalent format, as I say above. I know the way I have done it is the standard English way, I don't mind changing it to conform, I just want to know what to. CygnusTM hosts the wiki, and says "DD Mon YYYY", so that's what I am planning to change it all to, when I have time. - MadEyeTed 17:17, 13 Sep 2005 (EDT)

I've made all of the Spooks pages DD Mon YYYY now. Also I have changed any names that didn't match the DVD names. There isn't a definitive source for seasons 1 to 3, the BBC only gives names for the new season 4 episodes. -MadEyeTed 14:52, 14 Sep 2005 (EDT)

autogen report

erm, what the hell? that autogenerator has just dragged all the incorrect episode names off of TV.com -MadEyeTed 14:30, 18 Sep 2005 (EDT)
