Allusions and References

  • The film featured in this episode, said to be Spider's Kiss, is actually the 1978 film Dawn of the Dead, a film written and directed by the show's Executive Producer George A. Romero. Especially of note is the scene played later when a zombie attacks the characters, as the zombie was played by the episode's director John Harrison.
  • The music that can be heard playing on Dawn's headphones is a piece of the score to Day of the Dead (Romero's follow-up to Dawn of the Dead). The film's score was composed by episode director John Harrison.
