Plot Overview
Hooker's ex-partner Max Silver, now a private eye tracking down a murderous arsonist, is killed during an apparent robbery in a bar, leading Hooker to track down the arsonist, as well as the killer he hired to pull off the phony robbery, and the slumlord and insurance adjustor who hired the torch. He also butts heads with Captain Sheridan about getting Max a proper police funeral.
