Plot Overview
After saving an old friend, a Senator pushing an anti-terrorism bill, from an attempt on his life, Hooker gets an offer to travel to Hawaii to protect the Senator and his wife, bringing Stacy and Jim along as his assistants. It isn't long before Hooker ruffles the feathers of the Honolulu police, who think they should be the ones doing the work, and as his security stint continues on, he begins to see his old friend Senator Grayle in a new and disturbing light. Hooker soon discovers that it's not terrorists behind the attempts on the lives of Senator Grayle and his wife, but the Yakuza, and he learns of a deal that the Senator's father-in-law made years ago with the Japanese mob that may have bearing on the situation. Still, he can't help but believe that the assassination attempts are an inside job, and that the Senator is possibly using the attempts as a cover to kill his own wife.
