- Professor Peterson develops a ray that's synthesised the radiation from the space rock.
- A robber takes the tank from the science lab freezer. He's shot by police, causing the tank to be punctured and the alien escapes and takes over one of the officers. When the cop is killed and Superboy knocked out, the alien escapes and attempt to take Superboy. Still unable to, it then takes possession of Jonathan.

- The crook is shot, causing the tank to fall out of his arm. It cuts to the officer with the shotgun shooting him and back to a wide shot showing it fall to the ground with him.
