Plot Overview

'Rodeo expert' Stoney, along with 'weapons expert' Inspector Mark Vickers, are brought in by a homicide detective to investigate a suspicious accidental death at a rodeo. Matt Elder, while participating in a bow-and-arrow exhibition, winds up firing an arrow into the stands, which hits a prominent visitor in the neck and kills him. Stoney knows Mr. Tecas, who runs the archery act and is ready to believe Matt's story that the bow slipped from his unpowdered hands, affecting his aim, but Vickers doesn't buy it, even claiming the bow that Tecas's daughter shows him is not the same bow in the video of the incident. Eventually, Stoney has to agree with Vickers that it was murder and not an accident.
