Plot Overview
Young rider Jess Hagen is being forced to compete, despite the fact that his leg, which already has three pins inserted in it, will not stand up to further competition and that he could be crippled for life. Stoney urges him to tell his overbearing father, a former rider who never got as far as Jess, about the serious condition, but the stubborn man refuses to listen, insisting that his son is good enough to beat Stoney.

Outer Limits connections: Guest Stars Simon Oakland and Dabbs Greer both appeared on OL, Oakland in "Second Chance" and Greer in "The Children of Spider County" and part one of the two-part episode "The Inheritors". Director John Erman directed the OL episode "Nightmare" and also was the series' Casting Director.
