Metamorphosis is the second episode of the first season of Smallville, and the second episode overall.

The town of Smallville, Kansas is absolutely littered with green meteor rocks left over from the shower that brought Clark Kent more than a decade ago. As Clark, Chloe, Pete, and Lana are all about to realize, however, these rocks are not yet through threatening Smallville.

A young man at Smallville High accidentely discovers the dangerous result of meteor-rock radiation on his insect collection, and finds himself transforming. Now, he needs to find a mate, and who better than Prom-Queen Lana Lang?

Clark continues to find out more about himself, the meteor rocks, and how to become a small-town superhero.
