Jitters is the eighth episode of the first season of Smallville, and the eighth episode overall.

Guest Stars: John Glover (Lionel Luthor), Tony Todd (Earl Jenkins), Robert Wisden (Gabe Sullivan)

While working as a janitor in Luthorcorps top-secret level 3 facility, Earl Jenkins was exposed to experimental meteor rock radiation. Now, he is struggling to survive violent and uncontrollable seizures. When the Luthors refuse to address Earl's problems, he storms the facility and takes a Smallville High field-trip group hostage, demanding access to the disavowed level 3 facility.

While Lex questions his fathers denial of the laboratory, Clark saves the day and reveals the truth behind Luthorcorps meteor-rock experimentation.
