Plot Overview
In a world where the young rule, Quinn is forced to impersonate his recently deceased double who happened to be married to Wade's double. Meanwhile, Arturo and Rembrandt find themselves getting into trouble due to their age.
Notes
Brave New Worlds
- The youth took over in 1980 when it was determined Social Security stood to bankrupt the economy and Howard Stern drove Jimmy Carter from office and proceeded to lower the voting age to 9. Baby boomers were soon required to retire at 30. Despite this absurdity, the Department of Recycling and Waste Management is a success and Congress has outlawed timber clear-cutting.
Doubles
- Quinn (deceased)
- Wade
Timer

Referbacks
- Wade concedes to Arturo that he was right about never getting involved with the locals, a case he first argued to her in "Summer of Love".
Trivia
The Show
- When Wade shows Arturo the News Monthly magazine cover, the presidential candidate is named Don Buchanan. This is the name of the show's property master.
Behind the Scenes
- The Paul Anderson credit as a Kromagg was due to an ending that was filmed in which it would be revealed that Razor Gillette was a spy sent by the Kromaggs. However, after watching it, everyone agreed that this ending didn't work and was quickly cut.
Allusions and References
- The bartender refers to Arturo as Obi-Wan, a character seen in the Star Wars franchise.
- Arturo refers to the judge as Dennis the Menace and the Tiffany as a Debbie Gibson wannabe.
- Rembrandt compliments Arturo's acting by comparing him to English actor Richard Burton.
Memorable Moments
Goofs
- The timeline in this episode is a mess. For example, Rembrandt says they'll slide tomorrow, but more than a day passes before they do. Or at one point when Quinn says they'll slide in the evening, but it's day when they finally do.
Quotes
- Arturo: I don't believe it. At last, a soft landing.
- Wade: Look, I'm doing this for you, Quinn. Because I care. Maybe even a little more than I should and I think maybe you can't help feeling a little bit for me, too.
- Quinn: The only thing we have in common is wishing the person we were looking at was someone else.
- Arturo: You can't save every world you land on.
