Goofs
- Michael says he's picking up seismic activity, but that it's not geological, but instead coming from "underground or something." This line is entirely nonsense since not only does "seismic" refer specifically to earthquakes, but anything coming from underground would be geological by definition.
- The lights on set for the beach are blatantly visible in many shots.
- After the worm swallows Arturo, the track marks it made on the beach have all disappeared.
- Despite Quinn bringing attention to it, the drumming associated with the worm is never explained.
- There are obvious questions about why the townspeople started eating the remains left behind by the worm and how long they continued to eat it before noticing its effects.
- When Sheriff Burke shoots at the worm, his aim is completely off despite having a clear shot if he simply turned and aimed a bit upwards.
- When the worm grabs Burke, it pushes him, but his whole body moves as a whole, an obvious flub on part of the special effects.
Quotes
- Arturo: We four... are all the kin we have.
