Carrie spends a weekend in the Hamptons with married friends, but when she catches a glimpse of the husbands penis, and the jealous wife throws her out of the house, she wonders if there is a cold war between marrieds and singles.
Miranda pretends to be a lesbian in hopes of making partner at her law firm, Samantha sleeps with Charlotte's doorman and Charlotte dates Carrie's 'marrying guy', but breaks up with him because they have different tastes in china patterns.
