Plot Overview
A sea captain and his crewman are attacked by spiked sea creatures near an oil rig at Dead Man's Point. Velma gets an anonymous tip about it online and she goes investigating it alone when the others are preoccupied. A mermaid named Amy (the tipster) befriends Velma and alerts her after Skipper Shelton is kidnapped. The gang heads to the oil rig--owned by Destroido--and investigates. Afterwards, following tying up--and unraveling--a few post-mystery loose ends, Velma confronts Angel about the original Mystery Inc. enigma.
