Plot Overview
Sarge tries to reach out to an inconsolable young man, who wants nothing more than to follow in his late father's footsteps and become a cop , but is turned down because of his height. He soon needs the priest's help in a more serious matter--he's accused of killing a patrolman who stopped him for a traffic violation. The young man insists that he only 'laid out' the cop and called an ambulance for him once he was far enough away from the scene, but the cop's body was found in the trunk of his squad car at the bottom of a ravine. Once he learns of a possible witness who could clear him, a college professor with a good reason for not wanting to get involved, Sarge is able to put all the pieces together.
