Sam Benedict is a legal drama that aired on NBC.
Jake Ehrlich is the real life lawyer behind the character of the television lawyer Sam Benedict. Ehrlich had a forty year career as a defense and divorce attorney in San Francisco. Edmond O'Brien played Sam Benedict, with Richard Rust as Hank Tabor, his able assistant. The main reason this show only lasted for 28 episodes is that it was on against Jackie Gleason and Roy Rogers. The scripts were directed and acted by many well respected and talented people from the film and TV industries, such as Ida Lupino, Paul Henreid and Joseph Schildkraut.
