Plot Overview
Sergeant Corbett asks Paul to aid in his defense in front of a military tribunal. Although Paul and a military lawyer who's assisting him are able to get the espionage charges dropped, Corbett still faces desertion and dereliction of duty charges which carry a very harsh penalty. Paul's certain that Mrs. Corbett's addiction was the reasoning behind his actions and returns to Albania looking for the pusher who supplied her with the heroin. He also tries to prove that the officer handling the prosecution is biased and should be removed from the trial.
